I got home from the SCETV workshops in Columbia to find a nice surprise waiting for me – a check for the use of one of my photographs in an advertising campaign.
A couple of months ago I was contacted about using one of my photos from my Scenes from I-85 set as part of an ad campaign for a Native American theater group in Canada. I couldn’t for the life of my figure out what I-85 had to do with Native American theater, but I guess that’s what these creative geniuses at ad agencies are supposed to do.
Anyway, I was able to find the campaign for the Fathom Labs Highway project in Vancouver. As part of the campaign, they have developed a YouTube video and several mailings that use my photo as a background.
Here’s the original photo…
…and here’s the YouTube video…
The theater looks pretty interesting. If I were closer I might be interested in attending some of the performances.
