  1. As the General Manager of Larkin’s on the River I am sincerely sorry for your experience. You are obviously well in tune with the importance of excellent food accompanied by accommodating, prompt and kind service in the success of a fine restaurant.

There is nothing I can say to improve your experience, however, of course I accept full responsibility and will act accordingly with more training and discipline in the dining room for both our dining room manager as well as the server who waited on you.

I would like to extend an invitation to both of you for a repeat visit, anonymously, and would love to hear another review. I too am a fan of Gordon Ramsey, and take the same direct approach to training, sincere service and excellent cuisine. In a “good” restaurant things get by sometimes, but not in a “GREAT” restaurant. We strive to be great, and exceed our guests expectations at all times.

Please contact me directly – I will make arrangements for a gift card to be sent to you which you can present at the end of the meal so that you can receive a truly honest and anonymous experience.

We will always accept responsibility for our failures, and stive to be Better Every Single Time.

  2. Thank you for your comments, Bob. I do need to point out that the management’s attitude throughout this experience was very professional and accommodating. Any problems we had as far as attitude was concerned was only with the wait staff.

As I mentioned, the food was great. I generally only write up a location once, but I may take you up on your offer, and see how things are when things are going more smoothly.

  3. I am impressed with Bob’s comment and attitude to make it right. Initially, I started this comment only to ask how the show was. I was interested to see it but was unable to.
