I-95 is the major north-south artery from New England to Miami. One sees many interesting things along its path (South of the Border, Snow Birds, most of Georgia, etc). On this particular trip southward we passed one of these things:
The lovely motor home you see above is a Damon Intruder. As soon as I saw the nameplate, my first thought was, "What marketing genius came up with that?" Instead of Intruder, why not call it the Damon Rapist? I mean, the connotations aren’t much better.
Into what, exactly, would one be intruding if one owned such a thing? Intruding into nature? Intruding into the flow of highway traffic? Despite the fact that RVing provides enjoyment for millions of people, these things are still huge lugging beasts on the road that tend to slow things down and make generate road rage, or they go too fast and tend to come barreling down on unsuspecting cars. Seems to me that one would not want a nameplate that only heightened the worst qualities of the vehicle.
